I just received a flood of emails from anti-spam engines. Someone has been sending out SPAM using the EffectivelySpeaking.Com domain as a reply to email.

Please let me make a few things clear:

THESE EMAILS DID NOT COME FROM EffectivelySpeaking.Com or anyone associated with it.

I hate spam. I hate it as much as you do. I receive plenty of spam emails and now I’m being inundated with returned emails from spam engines.

I am probably more upset about this than you are. I work hard to send out emails to only those who request it. I want only quality information to come from the EffectivelySpeaking.Com domain.

I have never sent spam. Any email that is sent out from EffectivelySpeaking.Com uses a double opt in system. This means that people who sign up for the list must confirm that they are in fact the owners of the email account.

It is relatively easy for a spammer to send out an email and replace the “reply-to” address with someone else’s. Examining the actual header will indicate that it did not come from any of my servers.

I will be discussing this with my registrar and will do my best to resolve the matter.

Thank you,

David.
